Finding Happiness

We have all seen articles and stories about many people who seem to have it all fumble and in some way self-destruct. We are always surprised because we think the lifestyles of the rich and famous should include some sort of perspective that helped them get to where they are or were in the first place. When it comes down to explaining what happened, the person simply wasn’t happy, no longer knew who they were and got lost chasing what they thought would make them happy, but it didn’t work. Why is happiness so allusive? What creates happiness and once happiness is achieved, what sustains it? It may be no surprise to you that although financial prosperity overall has grown in the United States, with some ups and downs along the way. Happiness levels have stayed at about the same level. As people have gained financially, they haven’t gained the knowledge needed to be happier. They buy the next great thing, or go on the next trip to paradise, and although they enjoyed those things in the moment, gradually, or not so gradually the good feelings dissolve. This doesn’t have to happen to you because I can give you the keys to happiness right here, and it is relatively simple. There are two main keys to happiness, and it isn’t about buying something new.
